On the Boards

Flexibility is key for this modern residence on a vacant lot in the Rosedale neighborhood of Kansas City, KS. The intended market being KU Med students, the design should not discourage marketing to young families or even multi-generational living.  Evaluation of the original Case Study homes and their applicability in today’s society has helped drive many parts of the design.  The intent is not to achieve a LEED project, but rather make smarter decisions about the impact this project has on the environment and utilize materials, design and landscaping which lend themselves to easy and minimal maintenance.
